This release … still does not contain the Export feature. But it does contain a number of bug fixes and minor features that should address some reported annoyances. Hopefully, there won’t be too many more of these bug fix type releases. We may even hit the magic 1.0.

This update provides a couple of things for registered users. First, it introduces Global Find support for Toccer. Registered users can now search their IM histories. Second, this update fixes a bug when handling links in a multiline IM.

Oops. There was a small bug that could cause crashes in the last release. The bug affects users who have spaces in their screen name and are using alerts. This release addresses the bug.

This release is the first “proper” release since AOL dropped support for the TOC protocol. Preview 7 was a quick and dirty release to allow Toccer to work with TOC2. Preview 8 now supports the TOC2 protocol much more completely. Features that were disabled for Preview 7 (ie. adding buddies) have been re-enabled.
